December 27, 1941 University Professor Married 3
I have been living in the Pacific Northwest for almost forty years and teaching in the English Department at the University of Puget Sound for 38 years (my academic career no doubt a result of Fr Zoph's rigorous scrutiny of my weekly essays in senior English).  Had a great reunion in Phoenix last spring with ten Padres, brave and bold.  If this were any indication (many stories shared about our 1955-59 years), our fiftieth reunion (can you believe it?) should be fabulous!  See you in October. January 24, 1942 Technology Sales/Marketing Married 2

I am probably "ADD" but back then nobody could spell that.  As a result the longest I have worked at any one place was 10 years; so I have a pretty diverse background.    If things go acccording to plan, I should be "consulting" by Reunion time after selling our 6 year old start-up company.

I was married for 20 years. After my divorce, I was able to get an annulment and married a fabulous lady about 10 years later in the Church.

9 Children       2 Wives     12  (Now 13)Grandchildren  Hard to believe that it's been 50 years. It feels like at least that every morning though. Sure miss Jim Dalton, the President of the Block F Joe DiBono and "Squat" Harvey Seivers the Doorman at The Farros, plus too many others. If anyone has his Block F Card it would be great to make copies. Be well My Brothers. I hope all will attend the reunion. It ain't about who we are now. It's about the fact that we were, are and always will be Padres Class of '59. Show up. I don't own a tie (is that how it's spelled ?).    Send Gary a MessageSend Gary a Message

November 19, 1941 Zen eco-artist teacher investor Single
Leaving Serra I spent 6 years in the seminary. When I left I began to ponder deeply the question: Who am I....at Source....and began exploring many Eastern paths that culminated in "The Science of the First Person" (www.headless.org). Within this context I am integrating chakra/ energy centers that include (l) Body: yoga/tai chi, preventive health. (2) Mind: MA art, teaching credential, world travel especially in Mexico, Europe, India, Thailand. (3) Spirit: Zen, evolutionary spirituality,  powerful LSD experience in Death Valley. (4) Shadow, 5 year depression I emerged from with a heart opening experience with Jesus Christ, I-Ching, dreams, arts. (5) Work: carpentry/painter,  real estate, eco-investments, high school teaching, arts. (6) Ethics: Protesting Livermore Atomic Weapons lab atomic/oil foreign policy, social responsible investments, sharingi inner dialogue in the moment. (6) Emotions: dreams, multi-arts especially painting-poetry-local theatre, many therapy groups especially Paul Lowe Groups. (7) Sex: Tantra with Sarah, Susanne, Aska, Helen. (8) Relatingships: Lived in 8 East- West communities--started 3 including Lake Merritt Ecovillage in Oakland.
Presently I beginning Zen-Eco-Arts Coaching to help individuals interact more response-ably with groups to help our human species survive and thrive in the face of Global Heating, Peak Oil and economic meltdown and evolve into a galactic species-- on this beautiful, fun and dangerous planet.

Retired Married
I retired from working at a Sheet metal job for 42 years. I am married and will be celebrating my 50th anniversary in January 2010. I have three children. I have been babysitting my only grandson since he was six months old and I have really enjoyed it. We have traveled in our trailer and had a lot of fun in it. We live in Dixon CA. We have been in our house here in Dixon for nine years. We lived in CourD'alene IDAHO for two years and then returned to CA. I didn't like the snow. Too cold for me. Love Calif.

Retired Married 3
I always thought 50 year reunions were for old guys, but I'll come anyway and commiserate with the rest of you. I've been married for 46 years to that fabulous Mercy girl, JoEllen Jorgensen, that many of us dated at one time or another during our Serra days. After a few years in Southern California, we've lived in the same house in Foster City for the last 41 years. We have 3 sons and 8 grandkids (6 boys/2 girls) ranging in ages from 4 to 17. I retired 3 years ago from GE after spending my career in various facets of international trade. The career afforded us enough international travel to last a lifetime so now aside from some volunteer work we spend a fare amount of time traveling around California visiting grandkids. I look forward to seeing you guys in October. Send Charlie a MessageSend Charlie a Message
