February 07, 1941 Kings County Counsel-Retired Married 3

50 years?! Seems like only last decade I was commuting to Serra from South San Francisco with Ray Bly amd Mike Lyons (RIP) in Rene Cardinaux's Henry J car, but hitch-hiking the 14 miles home on El Camino because of football and track. Somehow survived that routine the last 3 years, and Serra did prepare me for College (St. Mary's/UC Berkeley) and Law School (Santa Clara) with 4 years Army in between. Married 39 years to Karen (Mikkelsen--Palo Alto Hi/Washington State), 3 kids (2 also Cal grads, 1 Chico State), 4 GKs. Dabbled in private practice and corporate law, then deputy/assistant attorney with Tulare County Counsel (Visalia), and retiring after 27 years as Kings County Counsel (Hanford, where we still live). Now, in retirement, I archive & perfect my 55 years of photography, supply neighborhood with veggies/home cured olives, travel, chase after GKs, & otherwise do pretty much whatever we like. See you in October.

December 27, 1941 University Professor Married 3
I have been living in the Pacific Northwest for almost forty years and teaching in the English Department at the University of Puget Sound for 38 years (my academic career no doubt a result of Fr Zoph's rigorous scrutiny of my weekly essays in senior English).  Had a great reunion in Phoenix last spring with ten Padres, brave and bold.  If this were any indication (many stories shared about our 1955-59 years), our fiftieth reunion (can you believe it?) should be fabulous!  See you in October. January 24, 1942 Technology Sales/Marketing Married 2

I am probably "ADD" but back then nobody could spell that.  As a result the longest I have worked at any one place was 10 years; so I have a pretty diverse background.    If things go acccording to plan, I should be "consulting" by Reunion time after selling our 6 year old start-up company.

I was married for 20 years. After my divorce, I was able to get an annulment and married a fabulous lady about 10 years later in the Church.

January 29, 1941 Retired semiconductor executive, now serving on 5 Boards of Directors Married 2
Its been a great 50 years and I feel I owe a lot of it to the experiences at Serra with you all; whether academic, sports, drama, debates, Block F, and the incredible social network at Mercy and Notre Dame.  Joan and I have been married 40 years, 19 to each other.  I have two daughters and she has one son, and together we have 5 fabulous grandkids.

The year 2008 was "interesting" for many reasons, but the most significant for us is that I underwent two back-to-back surgeries; open heart valve replacement and cancer tumor removal with full remission.  I am now 120% of my former self -- watch out!

See you soon!
